Teacher. Producer. Performer.

Headshot

At 12 years old Ethan began mixing live band performances for church services. At 15, he began practicing guitar, and within the next couple years, he was playing bass guitar as well. Throughout high school, he spent much of his free time playing music in a friend’s basement, discovering his love for punk rock. During his senior year, he played guitar for jazz band and grew to love that music as well. He graduated from high school in 2018, earning an Associate in Arts degree through the Running Start program.

In 2021, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from Northwest University with a Bachelor’s in Music Production and the faculty’s choice Sigma Chi Pi award for excellence and leadership. During his time at NU, his studies included recording technology, orchestral, choral and jazz music, conducting and music theory of the highest level. He had the opportunity to learn from true professionals of the music field including renowned engineer Steve Smith and modern day jazz hero Jared Hall. Ethan also spent time as a TA for music theory classes, taking on the responsibilities of an educator.

Since graduating from college, Ethan has taught guitar, bass guitar and music theory concepts to dozens of students, with an age range of 6 to 70. He’s had the opportunity to collaborate with other artists including electronic music artist Nesden. He also assisted in the production of the first ever Praise Fest Northwest concert in Ocean Shores, Washington and played solo jazz guitar for a friend’s wedding.

Now, Ethan continues to look for more opportunities to serve the music community through teaching online lessons and through collaboration with other creators. As someone who enjoys watching YouTube and Twitch, Ethan creates royalty-free music for streamers and video creators to use in their content, free of charge. He aspires to compose scores for video games and short films, and he writes songs with the intention of releasing a debut album of his own.
